We are a company dedicated to manufacture and export clothing garments for babies and children. We use the finest Peruvian cotton in our fabrics and knits. Our garments have handmade applications, embroideries and trims. Our company’s goal is to conquer international markets to have a steady growth, and to give our clothing an added social value through the work of Peruvian women. An year ago, we contacted PROMPERU and we were selected to do a Business Plan where we used the APEC Digital Opportunities Center. This has been an extraordinary experience since we had the opportunity to know different tools such as TRADE MAP and PRODUCT MAP. Both tools let us identify duties on the international markets, analyze our competition and acquire the confidence we needed to grow, it was a great window from which to look into the world. This information has had a multiplying effect in our company; we have continued sending our collaborators to qualify in other subjects such as electronic business, social networks, etc. We have developed our web page, now we rely on corporate e-mails, and we are very enthusiastic about learning new tools to continue doing electronic business. Our company started in 2004 when two graduated young professional women met each other while studying fashion design at Mod’Art International.  Since then, we began developing small collections for independent fashion market among other young fashion designers. After this experience, we decided to expand our business internationally focused on exporting alpaca, Peruvian pima and organic cotton knitted garments.

To achieve this goal, we looked forward to receive training from national entities especially from Promperú where we got to know the ADOC center since 2006. The training we received through courses like the Trade Map, Product Map, Planex among others related to information technologies to access markets were extremely useful for our company; because we are convinced that if we want to expand our market destination and get potential clients to get to know our product, it is very necessary to manage information tools. As we are a small company with limited financial resources, trainings like the ones offered by ADOC center allowed us to understand our business much better and take advantage of what the Internet is offering to access to markets and clients in an easy and simple way with less resources but with a lot of effort and perseverance.

After all these years of training, we turned out to be a small company with great potential which is exporting to several countries as Canada, USA, Sweden, Denmark, UK and South Africa but still searching for more countries and clients to continue our expansion and growing.

Inkasecrets was born as a project realized in a course on e-commerce organized by the Municipality of Callao. Finished the course we select some products to be able to sell, selecting the Peruvian jewelry as the Peruvian product to sell because it has a high value. We first published and sell into pages Marketplaces such as Amazon and Ebay.  When we had more demand, we had to implement a payment system, this because the traditional payment systems didn't work for the internet, we tested payment systems such as CCNow, 2checkout,  moneybookers, and paypal. We will be able to implement a website but still we needed to know more power tools to help increase our sales. When we learned of the courses of ADOC, we decided to attend the course on "E-Marketing and Business Reengineering in the Internet Age". This helped us a lot in order to increase our sales.

Through the course of the ADOC can handle more tools such as TradeMap, Map Mac, PLANEX, The World Factbook and these tools allow us to see the importance of having a strategic plan, see our difference makes us customers prefer us over our competition, so we decided to make a change in our Web put a shopping cart, including a video of the production process of our necklaces, we began using social networks, etc.

In May, 2009 our company Inkasecrets has been rewarded by Department of Transport and Commerce of Peru for use the program "Exporta Facil"[1] where we were doubly winning wholesale Number of Exports and Prize to the Excellence Exports Easily, this is an incentive for us to continue forward, we believe in our work, in the works of our craftsmen we bet for it and are directed in growing and being still reinventing us every day and as they say "if one can".
