The Targets of ADOC e-Care Center

For instance, learning Microsoft Office can help women to create more job opportunities, and entrepreneurship guidance is ideal for women's groups. As for many programs held by many other ADOCi partner members their women's groups, the results have been magnificent. In addition, Internet learning program can help women understand the advantages of Internet technology and use the Internet to gain more knowledge.
2. For the Handicapped: The course planning has divided into two major categories --learning information and communication technology (ICT) and increasing employment opportunities. With the specially designed courses for handicapped, they can learn how to use Internet and PCs. JAWS software, for example, educates the blind the basic computer/software skills and in turn, more jobs will be available.
Press Release: The e-Project Teaching in Viet Nam
Submitted by secretariat on Thu, 2006-06-01 08:00.The ADOCi Secretariat had held the opening ceremony of ADOC e-Project Teaching in Hanoi on May 22-24, 2006. The major purpose of this project is to train ICT personnel. Chinese Taipei provided the experts who had enhanced the IT resources for the e-training courses. The e-Project Teaching courses consisted of Networki Management, Web Design, E-shop Operation and Practice, System Architecture, Information Technical Infrastructurei Library, ITIL, and Tele-Center Management.
The e-Project Teaching had been a part of ADOC Program endorsed by APECi Economic Leaders in 2003. The Initiativei is Chinese Taipei's response to APEC's call to promote knowledge economy and 2000 Brunei Goal (the realization of access to Interneti for all people by 2010). Currently, there are 19 projects being implemented. During 2004-2005, Chinese Taipei had completed the ADOC Websitei, created IT School, hold IT Leaders' Training Camp.
ADOC e-Care Center Plan
Submitted by secretariat on Sun, 2006-05-21 08:00.For practically assisting ADOCi partner member economies to reducing the 'Digital Dividei', ADOC plans to make arrangements with every partner office in local needs and possible local NGO resources which might be involved. Combine the industrial, official and academic resources to select two partner member economies and each of them will set up an 'ADOC e-Care Center' in appropriate location to help local underprivileged groups of people (including elders, children, women, physically/mentally handicapped, etc.) to cultivate IT capacity and use IT to improve the quality of life.
