1. ADOC Short Film Contest Topic
The topic for the contest is “How we made it possible by the help of ADOC project and ICTs”. The contestants can name their films any name that will best fit their stories. However, the film makers will need to make sure their films related to the key message of the topic.
2. Activity Implementation
Make an announcement in the ADOC Official Website.
Post the information of this event in ADOC Facebook Fan Page.
Create a webpage (http://www.apecdoc.org/site/sf2013/) with the activity information, important dates, prizes, and etc. in the ADOC Official Website.
The program managers in collaboration with the overseas coordinators will be responsible to promote the Short Film Contest in all the APEC DOCs. The activity should be promoted by emails and/or phone calls.
2.2 Entry Period
The ADOC Partners are encouraged to promote this activity to all trainees in their ADOCs by informing them during trainings, using posters, flyers, website information, e-mails, blogs, and etc. From May 5 to July 12, trainees who are interested in participating in this activity should make a short film less than 3 minutes relating to the topic “How we made it possible by the help of ADOC project and ICTs“.
Please be noted that all the contestants need to upload their short films to either YouTube in HD version and complete their Entry Form in the event website (http://www.apecdoc.org/site/sf2013/) by July 12, 2013. Additionally, the submission time will be determined by the time you submit your Entry Form.
2.3 Promoting and Voting Period
As soon as the contestants have uploaded their work to either Youtube, they are required to share the link to their short film in the ADOC Facebook Fan Page (https://www.facebook.com/adoc2.0). Contestants are encouraged to promote their Short Film in any social website or network in order to earn more votes.
The vote is open to all the members in the ADOC community. For those who are not registered as members in the ADOC website are encouraged to apply for their own accounts in order to participate voting. From July 15 to 21, 2013, anyone can watch the shortlisted films which compete in the ADOC Short Film Contest and vote for their favorite film.
2.4 Judging Period
A panel of selected judges from the ADOC Secretariat and the ASUS Foundation will review, assess submissions and select the prize winner between July 22 to 26. At this period, the judging panel will select a winner from the top 5 films which have won the most votes. For more information, please refer to the “Winner Selection”.
2.5 Results Notification and Prize Awarding
During August 4 to 17, the ADOC Secretariat will post the final result in the ADOC official website and send a notification to all the centers. Based on the criteria stipulated in Section 7 of this document, filmmaker of the winning film will receive a prize US$ 300.
3. ADOC Short Film Contest Requirements
3.1 Requirements for Participants
The short film is required to upload to either YouTube.
The contestants should share their short film in the ADOC Facebook Fan Page (https://www.facebook.com/adoc2.0)
The link of the contest video is required to submit to http://www.apecdoc.org/site/sf2013/ by July 12, 2013.
The English subtitles are required
The shirt film should stick to the theme on “How we made it possible by the help of ADOC project and ICTs.”
The maximum length of the Short Film is up to 3 minutes.
3.2 Requirements for Participating ADOC Centers
The ADOC Partners will need to assign a person as the main contact person in charge of this activity in their ADOCs.
The contact person assigned for the activity will ensure that the participant submits a valid short film.
The ADOC Partners will promote the activity and announce relevant dates to the trainees.
