What's the ADOC Portal Expansion?

The ADOCi Portali will be expanded to include functions for trade facilitation, capacity building and e-Learning. The ADOC Portal's ultimate goal will be to serve as APECs Asia-Pacific Onlinei Resource Sharing Center.  The ADOC website www.apecdoc.org is already online and contains English web pages for each ADOC PME. An e-Learning system containing related courseware is planned and will bemade available. At least 30 English-based e-Learning courseware will be implemented.


 What's e-Program Evaluation?


An e-Readiness Survey will be conducted and reported to the 6 ADOC PMEs for their reference in policy and regulation making. Two e-Government projects will be proposed in two selected ADOC PMEs based on e-Readiness survey outcomes and application needs. One e-Industry project will be proposed in one selected ADOC PME according to e-Readiness survey outcomes as well as the needs and the appropriateness of the selected industry. The projext will provide essential e-Solutions and consulting services.


 What's e-APEC Award?


The e-APEC Award recongnizes achievement. It awards outstanding programs that help bridge the digital divide and to successful ICT. e-Government and e-Business applications. A totoa of 60 ADOC e-APEC Award nominees from the 6 ADOC PMEs will be invited to Chinese Taipei to share their insights of international digital experiences at the ADOC e-APEC Award exhibition and ceremony, to be held in Chinese Taipei from 3 to 6 August.


What's ADOC Week and Forumi 2005?


From 3 to 6 August the first ADOC Week and Forum willbe held in Chinese Taipei. Subjects to be discussed are 3-Readiness, e-Policy and e-Training within the APEC community. The forum will also serve to exchange experiences.
