MÉXICO CITY. Only four out of ten secondary schools in the country have access to the Internet.
According to the inform “Panorama Educativo México 2009 of INEE”, the access to the technological tools is one of the challenges the educative system confronts.
“The Organization of Latin American States in the Educative Goals to 2021 alerted the national educative systems about their responsibility, which if they not reach in the future the universal access to these technological tools ant its usage as educational media, the schools would be in risk of not responding to the contemporary necessities of information and communication, rising the digital divide”, points out INEE.
The Institute reveals the distribution of the technological resources among the states is unequal, so as between the educational modalities.
Recognizes that whether the national average refers as seven out of ten secondary schools has at least one computer for educational purposes, just 4 out of ten have access to the Internet.
