New law requires Internet providers to publish actual connection speed

A few days ago, Congress approved the new "Law on Internet neutrality," but very few know what it is and what are the benefits to the users.
The text amends the General Law of Telecommunications, because of it´s age, it didn´t related to the problems surrounding the Internet.
"Users will be entitled to obtain better information on their plans and companies should be transparent so the quality of service, specifying in a web that offer real rates," says the deputy Gonzalo Arenas (UDI), author of the bill.
In that sense, "the law will encourage competition between companies to offer a quality service," said Arenas.
