Glen Fredly, Vierra, Iweth Ramadhan, Ayu Dewi and Aldi Tama joined the “Score! Save a Teen Charity Concert” on Dec. 27, a concert aimed at helping at least 12,000 junior and senior high school students remain in school out of the shocking 1.5 million students who failed to continue their education this year.
The event, which took place at Score! Cilandak Town Square, was part of Putera Sampoerna Foundation’s Save a Teen charity program. It was launched on Dec 10, and has so far gained support from 34 industry partners.
Tickets were sold at Rp 50,000, in which donations were gathered from tickets, donation boxes inside the venue and from the auctioning of celebrities’ clothes and other items.
“I’m glad I could help the youth continue their education with the very thing I love: music,” said Glenn Fredly.
Data reveal that 6.58 percent of the country’s total population are university graduates and 54.6 percent of children aged 16 to 18 complete secondary education.
