ADOC-2003
ADOC Initiative
Oct. ADOC is Chinese Taipei’s ECOTECH initiative that was put forward during the 11th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand in 2003. The initiative seeks to reduce the digital divide within APEC and transform the digital divide into digital opportunities.
ADOC-2004
Establishment of the ADOC Secretariat
Sept. The ADOC Secretariat was established in Chinese Taipei. It was mainly responsible for providing assistance and monitoring the progress of the ADOC Project as a whole.
ICT Delegations
Oct. ADOC took its first step by sending ICT Delegations comprised of ICT experts from Chinese Taipei to the six APEC PMEs (hereafter referred to as “ADOC PMEs”) Chile, Indonesia, Peru, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Vietnam to exchange e-related experience in e-Government, e-Industry, and e-Society, and also to seek local partners for ADOC Project .
ADOC ICT Elite Camp
Nov. The first ADOC ICT Elite Camp was hosted by Chinese Taipei. Participants from the six PMEs shared valuable insights on a wide range of topics related to the planning and implementation of e-Government, e-Industry, e-Education, and e-Society.
The ADOC Portal
Nov. The ADOC Portal was launched to serve as an online resource center for the ADOC Project by providing platforms for virtual training, legal consultation, trade facilitation, etc. (www.apecdoc.org).
ADOC-2005 (5 new ADOC centers were established)
ADOC ICT Road Show
May ICT Road Shows, organized by the ADOC Secretariat in collaboration with local partners, were held in Vietnam, Peru and the Philippines to stimulate trade growth and the creation of new business opportunities.
ADOC Trainers’ Training Program
July The first ADOC Trainers’ Training Program was hosted in Chinese Taipei by the ADOC Secretariat, with the six PMEs took part in the event.
ADOC ICT Elite Camp
July The ADOC Secretariat organized the ADOC ICT Elite Camp in Chinese Taipei; six PMEs took part.
ADOC Award
Aug. The first ADOC Award competition was organized by the ADOC Secretariat in collaboration with local partners among ADOC PMEs with the aim of increasing ICT awareness; the winners were invited to Chinese Taipei to receive their awards during ADOC Week.
ADOC Week
Aug. The first ADOC Week, organized by the ADOC Secretariat, was held in Chinese Taipei, with ADOC PMEs taking part.
ADOC-2006 (13 new ADOC centers were established)
ADOC Award
March From March to June, the ADOC Secretariat organized the ADOC Award competition, held in collaboration with local partners among ADOC PMEs, with the aim of increasing ICT usage awareness. The winners were invited to Chinese Taipei to receive their awards during ADOC Week.
ADOC ICT Road Show
May The ADOC Secretariat organized ADOC ICT Road Shows with local partners in Indonesia and the Philippines in May, and in Vietnam in November.
e-Business Entrepreneurship Seminar
May The ADOC Secretariat conducted the e-Business Entrepreneurship Seminar with local partners among ADOC PMEs to share experience on e-Business for SMEs.
ADOC ICT Alliance
May The first ADOC ICT Alliance was organized by the ADOC Secretariat to stimulate trade between Chinese Taipei and Vietnam.
ADOC Trainers’ Training Program
June The ADOC Secretariat hosted the ADOC Trainers’ Training Program in Chinese Taipei, with participants from ADOC PMEs.
ADOC ICT Elite Camp
June The ADOC Secretariat organized the ADOC ICT Elite Camp in Chinese Taipei. ADOC PMEs took part, sharing experience related to e-Government, e-Industry, e-Commerce, e-Trading, etc.
ADOC Week
June The ADOC Secretariat organized ADOC Week 2006 in Chinese Taipei, with ADOC PMEs took part.

ADOC Award
April From April to June, the ADOC Secretariat organized the ADOC Award competition with local partners among ADOC PMEs , with the aim of increasing ICT usage awareness; the winners were invited to Chinese Taipei to receive their awards during ADOC Week.
e-Business Entrepreneurship Seminar
May E-Business Entrepreneurship Seminars were held among ADOC PMEs from May to October, organized by the ADOC Secretariat in collaboration with local partners.
ADOC ICT Alliance
June The ADOC Secretariat organized the ADOC ICT Alliance to stimulate trade between Chinese Taipei and ADOC PMEs.
ADOC Week
July ADOC Week was held in Chinese Taipei. Organized by the ADOC Secretariat, ADOC Week was attended by ADOC PMEs and by ADOC Award winners.
SME Entrepreneurship Workshop
July The ADOC Secretariat hosted the SME Entrepreneurship Workshop in Chinese Taipei, with ADOC PMEs participated.
ADOC International Conference
July The ADOC International Conference, hosted by the ADOC Secretariat, was held in Chinese Taipei to share experience related to bridging the digital divide.

Oct. The first ADOC PC Refurbishment Program, organized by the ADOC Secretariat to enhance PC hardware maintenance capabilities and encourage PC recycling, was held among ADOC PMEs.

ADOC Award
April From April to August, the ADOC Secretariat organized the ADOC Award competition with local partners among ADOC PMEs to promote the increase ICT usage; winners were invited to Chinese Taipei to receive their awards during ADOC Week.

May From May to September, the ADOC Secretariat held ADOC ICT Road Shows with local partners to promote trade among ADOC PMEs.
ADOC Mandarin e-Learning Program
May The first Mandarin e-Learning Program was established by the ADOC Secretariat to boost computer usage motivation among ADOC PMEs. The best-performing learners were invited to Chinese Taipei to receive awards during ADOC Week.

Sept. ADOC Week was held in Chinese Taipei.  Organized by the ADOC Secretariat, ADOC Week was attended by ADOC PMEs and ADOC Award winners.

ADOC 2.0 Digital Hope Train
July. The ADOC Secretariat cooperated with AIHU Foundation and Child Hope Asia Foundation to set up two ADOC 2.0 Digital Trains.

ADOC 2.0 Workshop 2010
Oct. The ADOC Secretariat organized ADOC 2.0 Workshop 2010 in Chinese Taipei, with ADOC PMEs taking part.
ADOC 2.0 Blog Contest
Oct. The ADOC secretariat Taipei held the Blog Design Competition, which aims to encourage centers to maintain their blogs.
ADOC 2.0-2011 ( 20 new ADOC centers were established)
ADOC 2.0 Photo contest.
July. This program was sponsored by ASUS corporations. Participates from 10 APEC PMEs posted more than 120 photos, and 12 winners were selected in July.
ADOC ICT Road Show
Aug. Organized with local partners in Southeast Asia and South America to introduce the latest ICT technology and to promote trade among PMEs.
ADOC 2.0 Workshop 2011
Oct. ADOC secretariat invited 12 representatives from PMEs as well as 6 experts in the digital divide area to explore the current situation and specific challenges, and to share their ideas and experiences.
ADOC 2.0 Website/Blog Competition.
Oct. This competition was held to encourage centers to maintain their blogs and put the ICT skills they have learned in class into practice.
