Berlin, March 8 (CNA) Taiwan’s trade promotion body held a press event Wednesday at the CeBIT tech fair in Germany to introduce leading information and communications technology (ICT) products from Taiwan, drawing wide attention from global technology media.
During the product presentation organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), executives from Asustek Computer Inc., Gigabyte Technology Co., PC peripheral supplier Thermaltake Group and networking solutions provider ZyXEL Communications Corp. all shared their thoughts on the ICT industry.
Asustek presented its latest lightweight portable projector, which won a gold award for product and communication design at the prestigious International Forum (iF) Design Awards in Germany earlier in February.
The product will hit the global market in April, Asustek said.
Thermaltake unveiled a new mouse, a design aimed at serious gamers that was a joint work with BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA.
Meanwhile, ZyXEL introduced a remote media server that allows users to manage personalized media data with a simple device to tap into the cloud computing sector — one of the most popular themes at the fair.
The seven-day fair opened a day earlier and attracted over 4,200 companies from more than 70 countries.
